About Broadstairs
Broadstairs was voted by The Times newspaper as the number one Best Place to Live by the Sea in the UK! The town is nestled in between Margate and Ramsgate on the Isle of Thanet, it is arguably the prettiest town on this stretch of the East Kent coast. If you come to Broadstairs you will find yourself completely spoilt for choice for beaches. Not only does Broadstairs have the beautiful Viking Bay, which acts as the bay and beach that serve the town, it also has Kingsgate Bay, Joss Bay, Louisa Bay, Dumpton Gap, Stone Bay and Botany Bay.
Broadstairs is a coastal town that feels like a step back in time – we have a traditional butcher, greengrocer, an old fashioned sweet shop, an art deco cinema that seats 120 people, lots of cafes, fish and chip shops and excellent Italian, Greek, Indian, Chinese and English restaurants all of which are within easy walking distance. There are several farm shops, and if you want large supermarkets (Sainsbury’s, Asda, Tesco and Co-operative), more shops and multiplex cinema, they are available at Westwood Cross 2.5 miles away. Broadstairs has so much to offer from award winning restaurants / blue flag beach’s and Canterbury, a fantastic period city is within about 30 mins.
